Our Story

We started baking baguettes nearly 40 years ago when we spotted a gap in the market for grab and go lunches and we haven’t stopped baking since. Every day our baguettes are baked fresh and filled with the highest quality ingredients for you to enjoy. We quickly found baguettes to be the perfect travel companion – easy to carry and easy to eat. Where it began for our baguettes

We knew there was a baguette shape gap in the travel food market. It was clear that baguettes were the perfect travel companion – easy to carry, easy to hold and of course, completely delicious. We set up shop in London’s Waterloo station in a small kiosk – a site which decades later we still have today.

Where are our baguettes now? 

So we might have dabbled in ciabattas, subs and we’re ashamed to admit it but maybe even the odd roll or two, but don’t worry – we’ve seen sense. We’re back to making the best baguettes there are to offer – and trust us, we’ve been around long enough to have tried and tested every way a baguette can go. We’ve recently made our baguettes even better by making them bigger and adding even more delicious filling – head to your local Upper Crust store to give them a try.
